Today was not one of my better eating days. It’s not that I ate too much, or the wrong things. In fact, it’s just the opposite.
All I had to eat today was a bowl of pasta with sliced tomatoes, some cheese, and some olive oil. Oh, and a donut with my coffee.
And I went for a run. I managed to do a 10k today. In pretty good time, in fact. It was a great run, but when I got back to the house, I simply carried on. I took my normal shower, started laundry, and drank some water.
It wasn’t until four in the afternoon (I had gone running at nine in the morning), that I finally made the pasta to eat and sat down to enjoy it.
I guess some days are going to be like this, and I can’t really beat myself up for it. I know, though, that I’m missing protein from my diet. And that I’m not going to be feeling all that energized to hit the gym tomorrow. I am hoping to start off the day with a really good scramble, and then hit the gym once that has all settled in my stomach.
Still. The run felt good. I do feel good, if not a bit tired. It was a good day.
