So, who are Thom and Nate?

Thom is a 30-something year old guy who has a varied and colorful past. He went to University of New Hampshire, graduating in 2003. From there, he went to work in a corporate environment for a year, until he officially lost his hair, and decided to go back to school. After enrolling at the University of New England, Thom then gained his Secondary Teacher Certification, and became a qualified teacher of English. As soon as he got his qualification in Maine, the job hunt began, and this took him out of the United States, and from August 2006 to July 2008, Thom was an English teacher in the UK, at Springwood High School.

Nate is a nearly-30-something year old guy, who also has a varied and colorful past. As a nephew to 11 aunts and uncles (and that’s only on his mom’s side!), he is deeply influenced by his Italian cultural heritage, as well as his Lebanese heritage, too. Nate’s passions range from cars, the environment, recycling, to home care and cooking. Currently, Nate is gearing up to go back to school for the Fall 2009 semester, to earn his degree in Food Science. His skills in the kitchen are second to none, and he works very hard to keep both him and Thom well-fed on their vegan diets.

These two have been partners for over seven years now, and have gone through a lot of trials and circumstances, and somehow have managed to keep it together. Now, they’ve got a new home in the North End of Boston, and they’ve begun to put down some roots in that old colonial city on the Atlantic coast.
